RIP Dennis Morgan
I found out a couple months ago my friend Dennis Morgan crossed over at the age of 63. I was a little surprised to see very little written about him out there. Shortly after creating Bending Reality™ I got mad at him because I thought he was trying to make a run of my show without me. While a little squabble wasn’t that big of deal we lost touch.
Dennis was famous for being the Hollywood Tropicana emcee. Despite what people might think because he was in adult oriented businesses, he was a great guy!
I met Dennis in my early days of being a media trader. Dennis was fair and easy to deal with. He introduced me to someone he thought needed a friend. The friendship turned into an amazing opportunity for me.
Dennis was great networker and entrepreneur. He not only ran Fantasy Island in LA but was also an emcee. It might be hard to believe a bikini bar would need more energy but Dennis always delivered and made sure everyone was having a good time.
Later on Dennis and I became roommates in 2 different houses. The first house was a big house in Studio City, CA. Dennis would rent the 3 extra bedrooms to girls that worked at the club or he knew. With all the women coming in and out there was never a lack of drama. I don’t remember why but we ended up scaling down to a 2 bedroom house a couple miles away.
The type of business Dennis was in could have left him apathetic to people’s personal problems but he always had empathy for someone that needed help.
I hope you’re well wherever you are Dennis!
