Bending Reality TV Keel – The Right to Rock and a Story from Michael Stephens

First they hated me because I was Mexican.

Then they hated us because of our music, the way we looked and dressed.

And then I was persecuted in my 20’s because I discovered racist FBI agents in the patriot movement and I am a Mexican. I didn’t understand how secret America worked at that time and how my love of truth, common law and the Constitution was incompatible.

I survived that and I will survive this.

I woke up today and started thinking about this song, so I’ll share it with you.

The 80’s and 90’s was a magical time for music in LA. We were crazy rock and roll kids in love with music and we got to see a lot of legendary bands as local bands.

I first saw Keel in the 80’s in Long Beach. The same city I flew a helicopter for the first time.

I knew exactly who he was when I got to interview him in 2013 and I remember the energy of that show and this song.
